A Cool Boost for Coen – Thanks, Cook Shire Council!

We’re excited to share some good news with everyone — Coen Mechanical has added automotive air conditioning re-gas and servicing to our services, thanks to support from the Cook Shire Council Community and Economic Grants Program. With this grant, we’ve been able to purchase a state-of-the-art A/C machine that professionally recovers, recycles, and recharges vehicle air conditioning systems right here in Coen.

In Cape York’s hot and humid conditions, working air conditioning isn’t just a comfort — it’s a safety essential. Ambulances, police, health vehicles, local businesses, and travellers all rely on cool, reliable A/C to keep people safe and comfortable on the road. Having this service available locally will help reduce downtime, save travel costs, and keep essential vehicles on the road where they’re needed most.

We’d like to give a big thank you to Cook Shire Council for backing small businesses like ours through their grant program. Their support helps build stronger, more self-sufficient communities. We’d also like to thank the Queensland Ambulance Service in Coen for their letter of support — they know firsthand how important reliable vehicle A/C is for emergency response in our region.
